Avram Iancu Square hosts the Metropolitan Orthodox Cathedral. Avram Iancu, leader of the 1848 Revolution watches in here "from above" over Cluj. A colorful artesian aquifer is located in the middle of the square and the National Theatre and Opera are located opposite the square.

The former residence of the governor of Transylvania was built on the initiative of Count Gyorgy Banffy at the end of the 18th century. Bánffy Palace is an important baroque building of the 18th century Cluj (30 Union Square), it contains elements of rococo and is the artifact of the German architect Johann Eberhard Blaumann.

Tailors (Bastion) Tower – the ancient defense bastion of Cluj Citadel

Tailors Tower, built in the 15th century, is excellently preserved, being a landmark of Cluj city. Its initial role was to protect the southeast corner of the second medieval enclosure. Today, the tower was restored and hosts many exhibitions and varnishing days of artists from Cluj and other cities.

“Saint George slaying the dragon”

The statue of St. George slaying the dragon is the first medieval public forum equestrian statue made in bronze. It is located in front of the Reformed Church on Kogalniceanu Street and is the accurate copy of the statue in Prague, made by Cluj craftsmen Martin and George in 1373.
