Warsaw, 20 April 2017 – As of July this year LOT will increase number of flights between Cluj-Napoca and Warsaw. This is airline’s respond to the continuesly growing number of passengers travelling onboard LOT’s aircraft to dozens destinations across the world.


It has been only one year of operations between Cluj-Napoca and Warsaw and one can already see a significant increase in number of passengers carried by Polish carrier. Within last 12 months LOT has carrierd nearly 20K passengers, apart from Poland, mostly to Scandinavia and the USA. As much as 69% of all passengers travelling with LOT connected at Warsaw Chopin Airport to further destinations in Polish carrier network.


“LOT sees an amazing potential of growth in Cluj-Napoca, therefore we are systematicaly increasing number of flights to Warsaw. We have started with 4 weekly, now operate 5 times per week. But this is not enough, therefore we have decieded to add another frequencie and as of July we will be operating 6 times per week. This is a great news for all seeking comfortable and efficient travel options whererever and whenever they want” – said Adrian Kubicki, Communications Director of LOT Polish Airlines. “We aim to soon become the major airline for those starting their journey in Cluj-Napoca” – he added.

Flights from Warsaw to Cluj-Napoca are operated by modern Bombardier Q400 aircraft. Flights will be operated starting with July on all weekdays apart from Sundays. Schedule is created to ensure the shortest connections to all US and Canada destinations as well as Scandinavia, Western and Eastern Europe.

LOT plans to continue its intensive development following 2017; as of April 2017, the carrier is flying to new US destinations, Newark and Los Angeles, in that way expanding its overseas routes.
